RVer report confirms numerous reports from Aug 2019 & earlier, & info provided by CalTrans, Overnight RV Parking is allowed. State of California allows parking in Rest Areas for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period unless there is signage to the contrary; no such signage reported here. Rest rooms, potable water, & a pet area. No dump station. Large & relatively quiet, especially if you park at the S end, past the restrooms. The first (N) group of long-vehicle spaces is pretty level; those further on, at S end, are not level. Accommodates big rigs easily, can be noisy if trucks area also overnighting here. Very scenic, with many picnic shelters & trash barrels. Potable water available at one or more threaded taps, but handle is spring-loaded so you'll need to hold it open for continuous flow. One RVer say no Verizon signal here.

Long RVs & RVs towing keep L at first R turn & continue to long-vehicle spaces on R; there are additional long vehicle spaces past S restrooms. RVer reports that Overnight RV Parking is allowed, confirming 14 earlier reports from Sept 2007 thru Apr 2019. Park in one of 22 (yes, 22) marked double pull-thru (end-to-end) RV spaces in S part of auto/RV area. Autos & other vehicles often park in these spaces, so there may be few available for RVs. Backing may be necessary to enter or depart from any given space, depending on how other vehicles are parked. Do not park in truck parking area unless directed there by Flying J; they will ensure that you don't inadvertently park in a reservable truck parking space. Do not park in restaurant parking area, which is signed with a 4-hour parking limit. Generally level, with some slope downhill to the SW. Well lighted, with the significant noise level found at a very busy truck stop. Dump station on site, but no rinse water available for 2019 summer season due to repairs. Propane available. Public laundry, Barer shop on site. Showers available (fee). Wi-Fi available (fee?).Denny's, Cinnabon on site; hot food & pizza available in Flying J store.
Directions
Hwy 401, Exit 189, then S on Highbury Ave to truck stop on L
