RVer reports that overnight parking is allowed, confirming 5 earlier reports from Sept 2007 thru Oct 2018. Cracker Barrel corporate office requests that you ask permission before parking overnight. Park in one of 4 marked Bus/RV spaces behind store, or as directed by store. RVs that won't fit in those spaces may receive permission to park along one edge of lot, or may need to park RV in one of these spaces & then unhook toad or trailer. Small RVs that will fit in a single auto parking space may receive permission to do so. Lighted, appears level. Quiet, with only light traffic noise. Good pet walking area. If you park overnight here, please purchase your evening meal and/or breakfast here.

Info provided by TX DOT confirms that Overnight RV Parking is allowed, but ONLY for Small RVs that will fit in a single auto parking space. State of TX allows Overnight Parking (but not camping) in rest areas, roadside parks, etc., unless there is signage to the contrary. This location was the first Roadside Park established in Texas, in 1933. Two picnic tables under shade trees, with BBQ grills & trash barrels. Prominent sign says 'Watch for Snakes.' NOTE: There is a larger Roadside Picnic Area & Park immediately E of this location; see separate listing.
Directions
On S (EB) side of SR 73, ~ 5.8 mi SE of interchange with SR 230 at Smithville, TX, or ~ 4.5 mi W of jct with SR 220 on W end of Plum, TX. Crossovers allow access and exit for both EB & WB traffic. Amall RVs that will fit in a single auto parking space park in one of 6 nose-in spaces. Longer RVs & RVs towing must park on shoulder, parallel to stone wall; NOTE that you will be very close to the traffic lane.
