Mar 03, 2020: RVer reports & info provided by AZ DOT confirms that Overnight RV Parking is allowed. State of AZ allows Overnight RV Parking in Rest Areas, turnouts, etc. Camping, however, is not allowed. Unpaved turnout is not separated from hwy; fairly wide & ~ 1000 ft long. Level, unlighted, should be safe and quiet at night. Park without obstructing access to historical marker at NW end of turnout. No amenities other than the marker.

Apr 28, 2021: RVer reports & info provided by BLM confirms info in an previous report from Sept 2020. Overnight RV Parking and camping are allowed. Horse Camp has 6 back-in RV sites on gravel; trailhead has unmarked gravel parking area. No hookups, vault toilets, central potable water fill station available approx May 15 - Sept 30. Generators allowed 8 AM - 10 PM. Dry camping also allowed in parking area for Trailhead & Picnic Area; don't obstruct movement by other vehicles or access to any facilities. Level, unlighted, appears safe, with possible faint I-90 traffic noise. Apr 2021 RVer calls this a 'beautiful little gem, right off the highway.' Open all year, but closed for 3 weeks in late July & early Aug due to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. No reservations, first come, first served. Maximum stay: 14 days, then must depart for at least 3 days. 2021 rate: $8/night ($4 with Federal Senior Pass) from May 15 - Sept 30; free the rest of the year.

I-90, exit 34, then NE past interchange to immeditate 'T' intersection; turn L on Old Store Road (unpaved) & go ~ 0.4 mi to Trailhead & Picnic Area on R, or continue another ~ 0.2 mi to Horse Camp entrance on R.
